Paint Palette Haikus
The forest was warm
Warm like a familiar home
Not hot like the sun
He saw the soft green
The morning hues in full bloom
Around the gardens
As the two fish weave
Beautiful pale frost frosty greens
Both with painted wings
2. Her arrow was gold
Flying through a summer storm
The feathers were free
Red petals bloomed
Poppies peppered the gold sea
Stems a yellow green
Their feet were tired
They were sinking to their knees
Their eyes were hopeful.
Warm like a familiar home
Not hot like the sun
He saw the soft green
The morning hues in full bloom
Around the gardens
As the two fish weave
Beautiful pale frost frosty greens
Both with painted wings
2. Her arrow was gold
Flying through a summer storm
The feathers were free
Red petals bloomed
Poppies peppered the gold sea
Stems a yellow green
Their feet were tired
They were sinking to their knees
Their eyes were hopeful.

I absolutely love how you say "warm like a familiar home, not hot like the sun"! It's simple but adds a lot to the poem.
ReplyDeleteThe line, "He saw the soft green, the morning hues in full bloom" really helped me imagine the scenery of this poem.
