Staring gently down at me

A mighty bust with tender gaze.

Softly stirring in my chest

A warm color I can't quite recognize.

She evokes wisdom, she evokes spirit

A spirit that men thought long dead.

The Madonna of Bruges is an example

An example for all

Of how a mother's eyes

Are never gone.

Image result for Delphic Sibyl

"Delphica,"

The two miniature men mumbled as one read the faded scroll

"What does yours day?"

Delphica wasn't looking at her scroll anymore

The young sibyl turned to look over her shoulder,

grasping the sight of movement in her peripheral.

Lucio froze to his place

While she was by no means as breathtaking as an angel,

he stopped to consider her gaze.

The way her lips parted softly and the light that bounced from her spring green dress

created a polychromatic radiance about her

One that made him suddenly extremely humbled and awed.
