This is light in a dark world
Warriors resting against their packaged clothed supplies,
They finally receive their overdue sleep
after a long, cold time away
from happy dreams that flutter under their lashes

This is hope, and warmth in a cold, cold world
This is a small bundle and white and brown furry happiness
A floppy eared, tired eyed puppy
Pressing its head softly against a soldier's rising and falling side
